CP Learning Trust are delighted to be one of the partners delivering a programme of support called Building Better Opportunities (BBO) ‘eMploY-ABILITY’.

BBO is a project tackling poverty and promoting social inclusion in Peterborough, Kings Lynn, West Norfolk and Fenland.

It is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.

The programme supports a significant number of those furthest from the labour market back into work by offering innovative, personalised support with a tailored package of barrier busting interventions, designed and commissioned with participants.

The project is now in it’s the third year and we have a vacancy for an Employability Key Worker.

If you have at least 2 years’ experience of engaging and supporting unemployed and economically inactive people, working with them on confidence building, engagement in social activities, personal network development and barrier busting and have the desire to deliver the best outcomes for our programme participants, we would like to hear from you.

You'll gain insights into and the opportunity to help influence health and social care systems locally.

Healthwatch CP particularly welcome applications from younger people - although you'll need to be aged 18+.

You will get training and support, as well are receiving reasonable out of pocket expenses.

Care Network Cambridgeshire is excited to be asked by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG to work within Addenbrooke’s, Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough City Hospital, to support patient flow and discharges from hospital. We are looking for compassionate, motivated, can do, solutions focused and creative individuals to take up the challenge of establishing this service within the hospitals. Working closely with the hospital teams, including discharge planning and staff in A&E, you will be able to offer a person centred approach and solutions to help people return home safely from hospital, if necessary taking the person home in your car, carrying out essential shopping, checking their home environment and general wellbeing and settling them back home. Volunteers and the wider Care Network team will provide ongoing support to clients ensuring that they have access to all of our services and those of the wider voluntary sector in a joined up cohesive way.

Social Prescribing Link Worker

Care Network Cambridgeshire is working in partnership with Ely North and Ely South Primary Care Networks to deliver a Social Prescribing service for the GP practices in Littleport, Ely, Soham, Haddenham and Burwell. The successful applicants will be working with patients to build trust and create personalised care and support plans linking them to community groups, voluntary organisations and other services.

You will need to be resourceful, creative and highly organised with the ability to respond to change and manage a varied workload while working independently. This is a chance to make a real difference to people and communities and to share our passion for preventative community based support.

Planning Volunteer, CPRE Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

If you are interested in protecting the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough countryside, then join CPRE: CPRE are looking for a volunteer to help them monitor and respond to planning applications and consultations in the county.

Ideally you should have an interest in the countryside and an understanding of the planning system (or be willing to learn). You will be supported and supervised by the Branch Committee, induction training will be provided by National CPRE and you will have the opportunity to attend other training and events as appropriate.

This role is primarily home-based and the time commitment is 2-3 hours per week.

All activities are voluntary, although CPRE will pay all out-of-pocket expenses with prior agreement, in line with their Volunteer Policy.
