This course will help anyone who is responsible for recruiting or managing volunteers as part of their role either as a staff member or a volunteer.
It is FREE to any community organisation that operates in the county of Cambridgeshire.
Those experienced in managing volunteers will get the chance to review their current systems and practices and explore best practice.
Those less experienced will gain the information and confidence they need to develop and start implementing volunteer policies.
What is it about?
You will get to explore what organisations need to have in place to recruit, support, retain and manage their volunteers. You will also be given a detailed resource pack.
What will I learn?
How to develop or update a recruitment strategy.
Gain an understanding of the different methods of recruitment.
Best practice in engagement, support and management of volunteers including the developing of key policies.
Gain an understanding of what motivates volunteers and contributes to retention.

The Trainer will be Chris Trevorrow, a CCVS development and training worker. Chris is a qualified trainer with a background in running a community charity, managing volunteers and in volunteering. She is also an experienced facilitator and trained community and workplace mediator.
We will provide refreshments but you will need to provide your own lunch.
