Measuring the difference you make – an introduction to Social Impact
Social impact is the difference your organisation makes.
Increasingly you need to be able to measure and communicate the impact of your organisation’s work to funders, trustees, clients and your own staff to demonstrate that your organisation is delivering the best possible service.
Aim:
To help you identify what funders and other stakeholders want to know and use impact planning to improve what you do. By the end of this session you should be able to:
- define key terms and terminology such as inputs, outputs and outcomes
- Try out planning tools to help improve your ability to identify and describe the difference your organisation makes
- Have a better understanding of what you need to monitor and evaluate to evidence change.
Who should attend:
This course is aimed at small community groups who may have no prior knowledge of any form of impact measurement.
