Introduction to safeguarding adults & children

Training & Events

This course is a “must” for all those who work or volunteer directly with children, young people, and/ or their families and adults at risk of harm. It is carefully designed to ensure you know everything you need to about the subject, from concern reporting through to confidentiality, recording and referring.

This course is FREE to any group that operates within Cambridgeshire.

What will the session involve?
We will look at local safeguarding procedures.
We will identify the relevant legislation and guidance.
We will explain how to raise and report concerns, and cover the subject of Internet Safety.

What will you gain from it?
An understanding of the statutory responsibilities of organisations & individuals who work/ care for vulnerable groups.
You will be able to recognise the different categories of abuse.
You will know how to respond to concerns about the safety & welfare of children and adults.

The trainer will be a Angela Haylock from Safeguarding Toolbox.
