Training

Trustees are vitally important to the strength and resilience of community organisations.

However, the role comes with responsibility, geared as it is towards the strategic operation and vision of the organisation concerned.

This half day event has been specifically designed for trustees who are new to the role, or who have been trustees for some time but would benefit from revising their role and responsibilities.

Course overview

  • What public benefit means and how that makes an organisation charitable
  • The roles and responsibilities of trustees
  • Safeguarding charitable values, aims and objectives
  • Managing the strategic decision making process on budgets, financial planning and policy.

This course is led by Alan Turner, Development worker at Cambridge CVS.

This course is free to Cambridge CVS and Hunts Forum members. The course is chargeable for any other non member organisation that wishes to attend.
