Training

Are you looking for better ways to motivate people to get involved in their communities? Are you concerned about what’s going wrong in society? Do you want to help people to work together to make a change?

Community Organisers Ltd is offering Support Cambridgeshire a one-day taster session, 10am to 4pm on 21 February. The training introduces you to the foundations of community organising – genuine, effective listening which sparks dialogue and explores motivations, an analysis of power in community and how to build it, and an exploration of how to organise and motivate people to take effective action together to address common concerns. This training is designed for anyone who has an interest in engaging with communities: community activists, voluntary group leaders, politicians, community development workers and anyone who wants to bring about social change. It’s a chance to take a step back and examine how we engage with communities.
