One thing all community groups have in common is the need to grow. This could be to keep up with the times, bring in new volunteers, do more activity, or support more individuals. Our community is vital in accomplishing this, and the way you talk and communicate with them matters.
This training talks through the principles of understanding your community and how to engage with them so that they understand your mission and aims, therefore leading to engagement on different levels. Should that be volunteering, donating, supporting or something else.
You will come out of this training understanding;
- Who do you want to engage with
- How to communicate with them
- How to develop that commincation so it leads to something else
Who is this for?
This training is for small community groups working in a small area who need community engagement so that they can grow and maintain activity.
It’s for those with limited or no knowledge or understanding of marketing, communications, and stewardship. Preference will be given to Fenland groups.
Who is this not for
Groups whom have a marketing strategy or understanding of their audience. This training is about getting to grips with the basics.
