How to set up a Timebank

Date: 3 April 2017

Time: 1pm to 4pm

Location: CHS Group, Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9ZR

Timebanking creates an opportunity for people to come together to help one another by sharing knowledge, help and skills.

At a recent Parish Conference facilitated by Cambridgeshire ACRE, many parish councils expressed an interest in learning more about Timebanking. As part of the Support Cambridgeshire project, Cambridgeshire ACRE in conjunction with the CHS Group are holding an interactive session to discuss how Timebanks work, the benefits of Timebanking, and the first steps to setting up your own Timebank.

Creating a Timebank in your community can drive social change, encourage friendships and enable people to volunteer where they live in a co-ordinated and supported way. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge to consider whether a Timebank is suitable for your parish or town.

All Town and Parish Council Clerks and Councillors are welcome to attend however places are limited so will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings should be made by Tuesday 28th March 2017. Full joining instructions will be sent out ahead of the event.

The event is being organised by Diane Bayliss the Town and Parish Council Development Officer working for Cambridgeshire ACRE as part of the Support Cambridgeshire Project. Any enquiries should be addressed to  Diane Bayliss at Cambridgeshire ACRE on 01353 865040 or diane.bayliss@cambsacre.org.uk
